La Petite Auberge
Remarks
There were eight of us in total, with one late cancellation. We were on our own on the mezzanine floor in the restaurant, so the service was not as efficient as it might have been, although overall we had no complaints.
The food was French bistro style, attractively presented, and very tasty. We drank four bottles of the house wine, which was very drinkable, and the bill came to £40 a head, against an estimate of £43 for us having a set menu, which turned out not to be available, so we had to go a la carte.
Everyone enjoyed the visit to La Petite Auberge, and we could not understand why we were the last to leave an empty restaurant at 9:30pm. I would certainly go back.
