Whits is also local to me but I had not been before. I enjoyed the food and ambience. Service was just right – friendly ( but not overly so ) and efficient.
I would re-visit but as I more a luncher than a diner these days the opening hours are not likely to tempt me to book.

This was a great restaurant and evening. Very good food, service and value for money.

The starter was excellent, main course disappointing and desert mediocre . I thought I ordered the veal but ended up with chicken somehow! Bread and olives should have been served before the starters which would have lessened the impression of slow service. Overall £38 was quite expensive for very mediocre food.

In summary this restaurant is ok for a quick pre cinema pizza or a quick pasta lunch. It’s not a destination restaurant in my opinion.

Well, both the starter and the main I wanted were ‘off’ and I ended up with some pretty paltry stuff. I asked if they had any gelato (similar but not identical to ice cream) )and they did cone up with some nice sorbets for dessert but this was not on the menu and I suspect were bought in. Poor decor and little atmosphere and as mentioned noisy. ‘Nul points’ or should that be ‘zero punti’?

Speaking for myself, I was happy with the food. However, I found both the slow service and the level of noise really tiresome.

I agree it was not especially good value for money – the service was good, and I felt we were well looked after.

From a cost perspective, I dont think it was value for money
