Slow to start and not very warm, but things improved as the evening wore on. How did the bill come to £32 per head? Monkdish starter £7.50, fillet of beef main course £14, cheeseboard £6.50, and double espresso £1.80. We drunk ten bottles of wine, seven red and three white, at £11.75 per bottle. Then add on 12.5% service charge. They had a special offer and we also did some extra haggling. Bargain!
